Hello everyone! We’re back in town and anxious to see many of you!
What a challenging and emotional year this has been. The opening of our webstore, and closing of our beautiful Jasper Ave location, was a difficult process. The constant emotion shared with so many of you was heartwarming and inspiring yet exhausting at the same time. I cannot thank some of you enough and hold you dear in my heart. And thanks to all of you for your kindness, sincerity and support.
The packing and moving (both store and home), is not a memory I relish. It was gruelling. We were in such a rush to move out and get to Victoria to do a Pop-Up Store before tourist season wound down. In the end, we pretty much missed the tourist crowds and rented an off-the-tourist-trek location but it was still worth our while in that it gave us a bit of a feel for the local clientele.
Two months in Victoria was perfect as it gave us time to recuperate and renew our energy. The healthy lifestyle and being surrounded by such history and beauty was very rejuvenating. We almost jumped into another lease in Victoria but in the end chose to hold off for a bit – not feeling sure, or ready, to go there quite yet. Happily, we’ve found a lovely gallery space on Fisgard Street in Chinatown where we’ll be POPing-Up during the tourist season next July, August and September. We’re very excited as this will give us a good opportunity to feel out Victoria and determine if it’s a fit.
Of course Edmonton is where my roots are and there is a loyalty I hold dear. We expect to be setting up here at least twice a year in hopes of keeping connected with you and keep my fashion on the streets of Edmonton. I hope that with our POP-Ups, I can still get a glimpse of you (and some hugs now and then are good too).
Upcoming December POP-Ups
We’re very excited to announce we’ll be setting up next to “Canteen Restaurant”; on 124st (off 105th Ave). How convenient having them as our neighbours. Yay!!! Please drop by to see us and pass the word on as we are here only for the month of December.
Now that we’re no longer so tied down with our Edmonton store, we hope to re-establish and build on our Calgary relationships. We have a two day POP-Up planned. Good client and friend – Maureen Stapleton, has graciously offered the use of her popular salon – Sheer Attitude, on 17th Ave in Calgary. We’ll be setting up for Sunday Dec. 8th & Monday Dec 9th.
